Stacey

Stacey Lawson
CEO, Ygrene Energy Fund

As CEO of Ygrene, Stacey Lawson brings 20 years of experience as a business executive in the areas of manufacturing, technology and clean energy. Lawson co-founded the Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology (CET) at the University of California, Berkeley, school of engineering. She previously held positions as Division General Manager for Siebel Systems, Senior Vice President for Parametric Technology Corporation and co-founder of InPart Design. Lawson was also recently a candidate for U.S. Congress in California’s 2nd congressional district. She holds a B.S. in chemical engineering and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

José María Figueres
President, Carbon War Room

After a successful business career (1979-1987), José María Figueres Olsen served as Minister of State and was later elected President of Costa Rica (1994-1998) at the age of 39. As President he created a comprehensive national development strategy based on the tenets of sustainability: sound economics, investment in human development, and a strong alliance with nature.

Figueres joined the Carbon War Room in 2009, currently serving as its President. The organization accelerates entrepreneurial solutions to achieve profitable, gigaton-scale reductions of carbon emissions.
